Music plays a big part in the lives of everyone around the world. Music is not just popular because it sounds good. It's an amazing connection that is created between human, rhythm, beat, and lyric. Music delivers a wide spectrum of feelings and connects to some of our best and worst life moments. When a person truly connects with lyrics, it can impact one's emotional state in thought provoking, mind stimulating, and spiritually awakening ways. Music connects with the heart, the soul, and the spirit.
Those people, like myself, who are highly spiritual with positive spirit-music is there as therapy and a way to connect with extraordinary depth. The lyrics are important for feeling identification and awareness into one's own life. And the truth in confirmation through music that life is humanly experienced from start to finish.
For myself, it seems like my spirit just connects to the beat of all kinds of music. Whether it is jazz, blues, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, Rock, pop, Electronic, French, Christian/Gospel, and Classical. If I had to choose a top 3-Classical, Electronic, and Jazz/blues. Two of these genres do not even have lyrics most of the time, but the spirit finds a rhythm to connect. The beats create their own words and own story. Classical music(Bach, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart) triggers all types of feelings of sadness, motivation, love, tragedy, desire, peace, relaxation, and happiness. It's something that many people may find boring, but if given the chance it can prove them wrong.
As for electronic music it has the reputation of "party, party, party." That is the common setting for it, but what people don't know is that the lyrics of electronic music are similar to the quotes we read on life. It's just a representation of the real self-life, passion, hope, inspiration, nature, humanity, desire, love, pain, pleasure, God, and spirituality. The base of spirituality can be felt through various beats of music...feelings...curiosity...comfort...confirmation.
Many people just think this music is about dancing and fist pumping, but my friends can vouch for this amazing sensation that comes directly from lyrics, beats, and incredible DJs. Memories of shouting out lyrics with our eyes closed taking in the meaning of the music and soaking up the passion in our hearts.
It's more independent listening now and gym music, but it will always be a part of my life and contribute to my growth as a living, breathing human being.
