Independent Mission under Believe in Your Purpose
July 2014 (2 weeks) Leon, Nicaragua
-Met with pastor and various staff about addressing concerns of the church and current population
-Sharing smiles and giving praise and hope by greeting each and every person in attendance for their food 3x per week.
-Small groups and individual sessions surrounding sense of belonging in the church, job skills, building of small goals, utilize support of members, utilizing strengths, and maintaining faith during all challenging moments presented.
-Provided suggestions for improved community building and unity among those homeless and living in poverty.
Holy Sisters Convent
July 2014 (2 weeks) Leon, Nicaragua
Independent Mission under Believe in Your Purpose
-Afterschool activities held in the convent with children age 7-12
-Sisters were also involved with activity including verbal exercises and social skills activities
-Active conversations with Sisters in regards to behavior of specific students and how to address attendance and parent participation

-Attended activities with kids and youth for church activities
-Individual sessions with youth to address their problems living amongst significant gangs and violence
-This church community was located next to the worst area for gangs in Panama City

-Diagnosing learning disabilities and behavioral problems with students age 7-14
-Individual therapy to students having family difficulties and behavioral problems in school
-Encouraging students to utilize the English language and providing rewards for doing so
-Crisis intervention to local families with students not in attendance for family problems
Monkey Bay Wild Life Sanctuary

June 2015(2 weeks)
-Creation of Believe in Me summer camp for kids and families of an underprivileged community
-Population included children, youth, and families suffering from psychological trauma, financial difficulties, and cultural barriers.
-Camp implemented inside a church along with another community leader and assistance from local pastors.
-Children and youth engaged in psycho-educational activity along with arts and crafts, sports, and games.
- Youth and families required intense therapy and community building was a necessity to aid in future changes.
