90 MInutes In Heaven

3/2/2016

"90 Minutes in Heaven" is a best selling book, but it was also turned into a movie. A movie that being based around a religious Pastor who has an accident that changes his life.

It's a movie being based around pain-unimaginable pain and car wreck that shocked everyone he actually made it out alive. The movie is quite graphic basing it on his physical pain along with his emotional journey with his self and God.

But the pain was the main focus as most of the movie was based on him being in a hospital bed.   The hardest part of this book and movie was reading and visually seeing the pain. 1 year of pain and positive moments of recovery, but going through moments of misery. What did this religious man do or say to put him in such excruciating pain?

Of course, the title "90 minutes in Heaven" indicates that he spent that time in heaven. There was meaning and purpose behind it to spend 90 divine moments in heaven with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Seeing the long lost souls he lost connection with and unexpectedly never got to see again.

When or if we get the chance to see heaven, who would want to come back after witnessing a place so glorious? It's unreal to be able to experience such a place and then come back to earth singing and praising God in the back of a totaled and demolished car with a priest praying for him. Donald said that someone was holding his hand through this transition and who was holding his hand? Who was comforting and telling him don't worry you are going to live. It's  not your time. You have a life of knowledge, experience and preaching to share.
When Donald crashed he was reading his notes to preach and listening to Christian music. He was alive at that time and praising God and in a split second God entered him into heaven and then the worst pain he will ever know.

He was 38 years old with three beautiful children and a loving and supporting wife. He had just discussed plans to start his own church before he entered the Kingdom of God in heaven.
When it comes to my thoughts, it's always hard to witness Gods people go through such pain and suffering. The learning experience to gain insight and share the experience with purpose is there, but why the worst pain?

Why does the woman get cancer?
The young preacher have a sudden heart attack?
The Sunday Christian school teacher and dedicated woman to charity and volunteering die from a sudden robbery or shooting?

Bad things happen to good people for the learning, but why such extremity? All I can say is that they all have, not just 90 minutes in heaven, but a lifetime. And from what Donald says we should know that speaking for all of us that are religious and committed to Jesus, we can reach heaven and it will be glorious a experience to share with our friends and loved ones in heaven.

Beauty and the Blind

Sometimes I can just look at someone and know they have a great story behind their being. It's just the connection I have been given with God's people especially those with special circumstances.

At my Toastmaster's meeting, an older gentlemen caught my eye in the most innocent and kind way. He was wearing a  blue shirt, khaki colored slacks, and suspenders. He always had someone sitting next to him to help him get up to the podium and back to his seat. When he spoke, his intellect shined right through his voice and he spoke clearly and confidently. His eyes were distant from the audience yet oh so clear. He just had such a presence this man with his kind nature and  very eloquent when speaking.

When he sat there, I just kept staring to the front as he would make comments on the club roles or functioning. When we had a "cookie and milk" break-no we are Toastmasters we have cookies and juice. Another Madam Toastmaster spoke highly of his accomplishments and humbly he did not say much, but I told him he had the aura of a great speaker-and yes he did...yes he did.

What struck me was how content this man was with his condition. He reminded me of a handful of cases abroad with the blind. It connects with my post about miracles and how sometimes we are given challenges that bring us closer to our strengths and capabilities.  From my eye, this man appeared to be an example of that person.

After the meeting, it was confirmed that he was one of those people and he did not just have a story, but an incredible story.  Both his parents are also blind, he takes after his ambitious father who is an architect and business man working off his gifted eye for design. He has a movie called,  "What Love Sees," which was a television movie that came out in 1996.

Below is a summary from IMDB:

Based on a true story, spanning fifteen years during the turmoil of the Second World War, this is an incredible and inspiring saga of two young people whose very special relationship helps them fulfil each other's dreams. Jean Treadway, a beautiful young girl in her twenties, comes from a world of wealth and privilege. Gordon Holly is a handsome but humble rancher, the pride of his small town and honest to a fault. But they share something which makes the love that blossoms between them all the more pure and intense, they are both totally blind. Against all the odds they marry and head out West to Gordon's ranch. There, side by side, they build a future which includes responsibility and independence.

Within his career, he has been a Radio Founder, Interviewer, Producer, a teacher, a musician, an engineer, and more. He can read and write in Braille and has a Speakers Technology computer.

Many people don't understand my deep connection with people. They just think that I like to do "nice things" for people. It is the depth of the ocean and beyond-my love for people. This man is an example of my true theories and beliefs on people living their life to their maximum potential. A disability is not something to hope that a miracle comes along to save them rather it is a platform to rise and utilize the other beautiful senses that God has given.

Like Beethoven and perhaps like this man, sound...  What is gone appears in other senses. This is what is fascinating how one is taken away, but another is enhanced. This is definitely the case with this lovely man who doesn't spend time complaining about his disability rather he decided to accept it a long time ago and live life at his best like the rest of the world around him.  When a man has so many strengths, his disability is not focused on in fact I don't even like using the word "disability" as I believe it's a challenge, a blessing, a new perspective, and the ability to be thankful for what you do have....

Thankfully, I have sometime to get to know him on a more personal level as I will see  him when I get back from my trip:)

For now, Thanks for setting an example to those who have challenges and feel that life is over. It's just the beginning and God doesn't give us something that we can't handle-in all true belief.

Do You Believe In Miracles?

6/28/2015

When I was in the Philippines, I would sing inspirational English songs with my patients as many sat in their wheel chairs or listened from their beds nearby.  One of the songs I would sing was Mariah Carey, "There can be miracles when you believe. Though hope is frail it's hard to kill. Who knows what miracles you can achieve when you believe...."

How much believing creates a miracle?
How far does our faith take us?
Do we believe they can happen to us or are they just a distant act of God?

While I sang that song to them, I did believe. I do believe that my beautiful people are watched over by the Lord.  They are living and breathing after extreme adversity and difficult life assignments by the Lord. They experience mini-miracles, blessings, love, support, and prayer to keep them going.

Although, how is a miracle defined, how many are given, based off our faith, our love, our morality? Are miracles requested, earned or neither? Does the holy spirit do all the work and healing? If so, is it spontaneous or are people chosen?  People say miracles allow Jesus to do all the work through another being and they are God placing his hand on you. A human hand working with the holy spirit palm and two fingers over the head. The touch, the electricity, the feeling, the experience, a release, a new day.

In the Christian Gospel Crusade, all these miracles were happening so fast all around me that it was overwhelming me I had so many thoughts, questions, concerns...

The first night I had pure disbelief for what was happening in front of me. It was surreal and it didn't fit my bubble of faith and realism. Although, miracles are called "miracles" for a reason. Our minds our fighting against our hearts to believe. as this just was not my type of ministry. I had to dig deep into my belief that God can make anything possible. The holy spirit is the most powerful of all and can move mountains.  He was moving mountains in that stadium with one after another feeling "healed."

Are we ever "healed" one hundred percent? It was my clinical perspective and experience that kept me skeptical blocking my mind and heart.  Just observing one after one share their moment of healing. I thought,  "Why is it so easy for her at this moment when my patient was dying in front of me and we prayed and prayed, but we didn't save him?

Pastor Daniel taught everyone this way of healing with the palm and the forehead and said, "Anyone can do this you don't have to be a Pastor." I thought to myself "Really? I don't think so." I do believe in  miracles. The boy that will never walk again and he is able to walk. The man declared dead and he comes back to life. The woman diagnosed with cancer and it simply disappears from her body. I believe in those individual cases you hear about, but groups of people in person is a whole lot to process mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Although, we are all believers or non-believers that have a mind of our own and have their own personal experience that may draw them to a certain conclusion. There is always room to question, analyze, wonder, ask, or comment. The Who, What, How, Where, Why can always be mysterious and take time to figure out.  A simple answer from an Evangelist would be "You don't need to know anything, just believe. Empty your mind and find logic."  Yes, I agree with that partially, but everyone takes their own time to learn and adjust to new experiences.

The second night was a confirmation of miracles. It challenged my beliefs as a Christian it was a reminder they are alive and well and an awakening in my own self. Mental Illness can vanish, Diabetes can vanish, physical pain, emotional pain can vanish. There can be always be the medical fight, the self-improvement, finding ways to hold on a bit longer each day, learning how to cope, deal with crisis, live with it, and find a purpose in why this was given by the Lord. This is just the bubble that I live in, but I opened myself up to new possibilities with Pastor Reinhart and Pastor Daniel.  Perhaps that new found miracle is going to promote you to the next level in life to give back and be the best person you can be for God. It is all possible when you believe.

For instance-people, like my friend, they may take it all in one dose and swallow it. For myself and others I know, we take it in small doses or maybe we just don't want it at all. Some people may read this and think it's ridiculous or not believe in any kind of miracle or just not on this spectrum. That is perfectly fine and it's not expected of anyone as this topic can be debated, misunderstood, and questioned extensively- not everyone welcomes such a controversial subject of life and healing.

But remember  When your eyes view things you could never imagine...expose your eyes to greater wonder each time PCR

It's evident that the love and support around us is what makes our world go round. Feeling support is different than just receiving it as it is the feeling that drives our behavior.  It is the unconditional support that empowers us to improve our decision making and behave responsibly. The support that can lead us through the good days and the bad. The unity between two spirits can confirm the respect between each other.

"Be thankful for thy support from those you love. It's their support that consciously is what keeps you going." PCR

We Don't Get IT

While I live quite the fulfilling, adventurous, stimulating, interesting, passionate, experiential, educational life-it is a life that foreign to many people. I live a Full, Full Life where sometimes I look back to my twenties and think "Wow, did I really do all of that?"  Those who live in a similar manner and those who are believers with my ministry work give kindness and appreciation. Unfortunately, there is a common misperception of my life that leads to labeling and this leads to misunderstanding of what I am doing with my life.

In America, the country I often write about how it does not encourage people to explore themselves. It is a majority of people who live their life "The American way," which leads to comfort rather than embracing change. Foreign travel is dangerous, the same friends for years are standard, starting a new job is not preferred over staying in the same career for twenty years, and being multi-talented serves as a bit of confusion.

It is my lifestyle that may intimidate people, produces fear, anxiety, confusion, and concern about safety. When we don't recognize something or fully experience it, it comes up in the self as fear, which makes a person react in this manner.  Fortunately, I study human behavior and make cultural comparisons frequently. It's all a part of my human understanding and awareness is produced. I  understand why people behave this way, but what if someone else who is trying to explore themselves, experience, and live in a way different than societal norm? They can feel discouraged to explore in a different way.

When it comes to my life, it is kept quite private in terms of in person conversations with family and friends. It's just not understood and comes off as unsafe and one word "Why" Why extend yourself to people in such a consistent and caring way. It's part of "Practicing what I Preach." Live in your purpose and don't let opposition discourage you.

Perhaps my travel experiences are shared through writing, but that is the extent of it. I rarely come home and share how great my trip was with people-eighty percent don't want to hear it.  It's best to keep it brief and simple, tell people the socially constructed statements they can recognize and are comfortable with and want to hear "Oh it was beautiful weather I was helping an organization following everything they told me to do, I missed the US so much and I just couldn't wait to come back."

If I mention street missions with the poor instead of building a house with ten other kids who know nothing about people and culture-it just doesn't make sense. Why am I traveling alone rather than with a group and formally. Some organizations such as United Nations, Amnesty International, and Doctors without Borders may be exceptions, but the connection I have with people gives me an abundance of work. The starting of my own programs, individual missions with those who need my spirit, guidance, ad professional expertise as well as realistic goal setting.

While I do make attempts to fully explain this and I do with passion and excitement. It's often shut down with a list of questions that just make me forget a next time. The reactions discourage me from sharing it again unless it is a person engaged in full ministry and a social work career. Those brave, amazing souls out in the world working for a cause with passion and who haven't returned to the US in years and have my same theories. There are a large amount of travelers that I have met, amazing minds who start small businesses, and those individuals who take RISKS and they leap into something foreign to them. They jump out of the box or safety zone to truly LIVE.  These people I admire and I look up to them. They get it!!!!

It's simple to measure the difference between the response. "Telling them what they want to hear" and telling them about a foreign experience or a religious moment that was exciting. Most people want to hear what they know and what they can relate to rather than something new and great you are exploring.
They wonder, "Why can't I do that?"
Look at her just traveling all over by herself.
Does she ever settle in one place?

While I do appreciate their feedback and agree with the elements of short term and not always committing to one place- I just follow my heart and mind. People just respond based of caring, confusion, love, and also resentment and insecurities. When a person has three kids and they can't do what you are doing and they missed the boat-not happy. Perhaps they feel "stuck" in their current life and they would love to be doing the same thing. And with these opportunities I always, always encourage people to go out there and be brave.

Over the years, I'm aware of it all and I have felt a lack of support and true understanding of what I am doing. People think all I do is travel and I waste my time on Missions helping others "for free." When God hears those statements he is up there shaking his head because if I stay on my path, do my best, and weave all my gifts into one-all those comments, the negativity, and the disrespect will disappear. I will be and am in a place where absolutely none of it matters.

This is the beauty of my personal and loving relationship with my higher power-all I need is his approval and the approval/opposition of others should be pushed to the side. It should not block my vision as I am strong, determined, intelligent, gifted, and passionate. With the confirmations from clients, students, churches, businesses, religious leaders-I am successful in what I do and I will reach my full potential of success. It's not a thought, being a dreamer-it is reality that will come when the time is right.  There is a plan for me to follow and not be forced by society and people surrounding me to rush it.

These "ordinary" people living in the safe zone that society has created-Absolutely No disrespect- I adore them and feel bad they can't live a more full life. And many times they are just content and happy with their life and that is great!  I will always encourage them to live in purpose, off their gifts, try new things, face fears etc. But just because my life is different I shouldn't be judged and labeled as a "traveler with no direction."  I am Christian and 100 percent on that path with no derailments.

Overtime, I have learned to just act ordinary when back in the US and not emphasize or discuss many of the things that I do. It is just unnecessary because I have one audience to impress. Bits and pieces are explored and built upon in ministry, but I take a vow to not get excited and share to be let down.

There is always going to be someone to say something or react the wrong way and upset me. But what is important for me is to avoid the negativity and stay with positive people who support me and what I do. Those who are believers have a good understanding, but surrounding me is a society that I know needs a lot of education, real experience, change, new environment, new people etc.

People may just "not get it" and you know what that is perfectly okay because these people mean well and are just trying to understand. I wish I had a better explanation for it all, but it's just times that I truly, truly cannot even try to describe or expect someone to understand.
Hope this blog sheds some light on my life and helps people understand bits and pieces of this Crazy/ Beautiful Life!!!

Regardless, I know when people are respectful and people are not and even though "People may not get it." It's my choice to be around those people or stay around those who are open minded, caring, and positive people. Stay in my lane, drive with caution, and drive with passion.

Rising with Joel

6/14/2015

At the end of the show, Joel asked those people who came with disbelief, disenchanted, experiencing difficulty connecting, or instability in life....to stand up.

As I sat in my seat, I expected a few people to stand up around me and expected about 70 percent to stay seated. When I looked around me, I saw what appeared to be almost everyone standing up.  I sat in disbelief and had to stand up to get a full view of the stadium. My eyes just kept scanning the room and my heart filled with joy and love for
A.) All these people with the courage to stand up
B.) Those who are confused, need direction, have challenge
C.) Those who came that night for the literal title....
     "A Night of Hope".......

I realized the Indians behind me, the couple in front of me, the family to the right of me-they weren't big super fan's of Joel and watched him everyday. They were people looking to connect with his ministry and build a relationship with God. This was his chance to pour God's love for these people into that stadium.
To show them that God gives second chances
To show them that they are loved even if they don't believe
To show them that it's okay to be lost because one day you will be found
To show them that family can join together and be in faith
To show them that all things are possible with God
To show them that God has a plan for each and everyone of us

When We Know What We are Waiting For.....

6/8/2015

Think about  when you're waiting for something special or exciting and the seconds just pass by slower? When you're waiting to go home from work and the hours just pass by slower? When you're waiting for a friend and the minutes are passing by slower...

Our lives move in such a fast pace that sometimes the minutes can't keep up with us. When it comes to slowing down in given life scenarios- why is the time slowing down? When a woman is waiting for their spouse stuck in traffic? When we are waiting for the doctor? When waiting in line to buy a simple box of cereal behind the man buying one hundred things? In New York, I had a friend who couldn't even wait for her mail. It didn't come fast enough so she found out the time of the truck arrival and would go pick it up directly. Why are asked to wait in the first place?

Depending on the person and their patience it could be simply waiting for two minutes or someone it might take twenty minutes. We base this off social norms for waiting times.  These instances occur testing our patience, but they are also serving as repetition of a circumstance to educate us on potential of receiving a new outcome. The waiting is a human behavior that will always be there, but the response to the behavior can be different. "I waited for her last week for fifteen minutes, maybe I should do some reading?" "I waited for that repairman for twenty minutes last time-I'm going to do some yoga before he comes." These are great examples of learning from a person's behavior or directly from the experience.
To clarify, we don't know what to expect with waiting therefore building up positive coping to waiting will increase our self-awareness into our behavior and feelings of  being anxious, annoyed, stressed, impatient, angry, etc  Human beings are not going to choose to wait, but if they are forced to than it can open up their mind and build their patience. When it comes to excitement, anticipation, and happy waiting that is another post. It is the waiting we do not choose, the waiting that we undesirably take upon ourselves, the waiting that makes us annoyed and disrespected-this waiting perceived as negative, but it's what is necessary for personal growth.

The multi-taskers and Type A's and a majority of the working world Americans do not see it that way as every second, minute, and hour counts in a busy schedule. Having a family, a full-time job, PTA commitments, friendships, quality time with your spouse-the mind and body are working together to get everything accomplished.  The man working seventy hours a week with his schedule overbooked with Siri. People can be advised to slow down, but that does not mean they actually do. Waiting is psychology waiving the red flag and it has a deeper meaning because it is not controlled by the self rather it most likely will be out of their control.

For myself, I am guilty of similar behaviors, but when psychoanalyzing life- truth unveils itself. Self-reflection can be quite a hike for many people. The focus is on the waiting and "how long." The "Why" responding to impatience is distracted by the necessity for time to move faster in the moment. The mind focuses on a minute, minutes, and an hour. When the mind is focused on anything i.e. The mind is focused on the pink elephant. Time has the same effect as the more focus we give it, the slower it will move. The less focus and increased patience and contentment- the less time will be needed to wait and self reflection is more likely to occur each time.

Instead of focusing on a million different ways to make time move faster rather think about how to "wait" more effectively and think about the minutes, seconds, or hours that are taken, but mentally and emotionally gained. "Wait" can be redefined rather than having a negative connotation. "I don't want to wait for the ride." "We have to wait to get out of the parking garage."

Utilize that time with silence, relaxation, or fun- it will lead to easier moments of waiting. Lower expectations, less complaining, and a real understanding of time. Minutes, seconds, and hours are valued within this marathon we run. It's part of American culture to start a stopwatch at the beginning of the day. Let work control you and cause stress with time and waiting. Let yourself wait as priorities are always going to be there and this waiting time was made especially for YOU

Don't count your minutes, breathe you minutes. PCR

Joel Osteen- An Inspiration

6/5/2015

Picture
When I came back from Morocco, I was having a beautiful spiritually inclined discussion with my friend. She was not the type to go to church, but she did have her own personal relationship with God. Although, she had some real insight on how to handle my problems and I wondered, "Where is all this coming from?"

She asked, "Do you ever watch Joel Osteen?"

In my head, I was thinking Is she talking about that commercial pastor on TV all the time?
I replied, "No."

She said, "You need to start watching him-he will really change your life.

Unfortunately, I never took her advice because I also believed in my own personal relationship, prayer, church ministry, and listening to my Pastor from
www.willowcreek.org

Bill Hybels. He always got me through the challenging times and he was a positive inspiration.  When I thought about Joel Osteen, I just thought "Commercial," which in my mind meant "Not Interested. Next."

A couple years later, I learned that this was far from the truth and I had been missing out on some incredible, inspiring, heartfelt, spiritually guided sermons.  Around November 2014, I decided to start watching Joel Osteen. I don't even remember Why or How, but that is irrelevant because I am here Now as a dedicated follower of Joel Osteen-his sermons, books, events, and more. He has had a powerful role in my consciousness, which as a psychoanalyst I can confidently say....That is not an easy task.

There is a reason because he is watched all over the world and has the largest attendance in his church-not because he is commercial rather he is authentic and a man of God. His passion, sincerity, loyalty, and love for people pours straight out of his heart.  It's such a positive addition that I would like to share.

Is this a post that is meant to convince me to support and/or watch Joel Osteen?

I ask this question because I never want people to think that I am a Christian who is trying to engage in "religious persuasion." That is not the place I come from with my work, writing, and interaction with people. It's always in my best interests to share my knowledge, experiences, beliefs, theories, ideas, etc. with others. I have no intention on making anyone uncomfortable, but that does not mean I don't encourage you to try watching a video one time.

As I tell people, if someone can connect to his messages and gains something positive then why not just try it out. Someone who has the motto "Believe In Your Purpose." It would not make sense to not share someone that is moving me closer to my own purpose. I want the best for YOU and trying out a video is a great way to see if you feel a connection. It may take a couple tries and you could love it or feel like it's not for you. Either is just fine!

What Do You Gain from His Sermons?

Joel Osteen is one of the best pastors not because he has a stadium full of people, but he is a Realist. He speaks in a manner that can relate to everyone in their everyday life and this continues through almost every sermon.

It's not in his interest, but that of the people to inspire them to work past negativity, loss, bad breaks, disability, weaknesses, and unfortunate circumstances. He gives people a sense of hope and his emotion is heartfelt and connected to myself and others.

As I mentioned previously, the consciousness. This is a difficult task, but I believe that is why people keep on coming back. He is making a person more conscious of their decisions, feelings, thoughts, and honoring God in the process. People need to repetitively hear similar things in speech to have it build into their thought process.

" I have been waiting for an hour and this person just hung up the phone."

I could get upset or I could say, "That person is having a bad day and I'm not going to let it effect me."

It is instances like these where Joel enters into my mind and the minds of millions. This is an incredible gift that I am aspiring to do in my own work each and every session I have.

This man has done it and God Bless Him for that Positive Change on the World!

I'm not in the Texas area to attend?

Unfortunately, I have never had the chance to be in the presence of Joel Osteen and feel that energy live, but his messages are just as good online. He is a fantastic speaker and you can feel his passion right through the screen.

I Don't Understand Christianity and the Bible

That is perfectly fine. Everyone starts somewhere and if you are going to start-Joel could
be a good place to start. When we think about a Pastor, it's common to think about the traditional components and how you are sitting there in your seat waiting for it to end. This is not by any means insulting the bible or incredibly beautiful Pastors, but purely indicating that everyone has a different preference for their church and pastor. It's completely understandable and recommended to find the best fit for YOU.

But Joel incorporates scripture in a clear way you can understand. It's actually good for a beginning because something may spark your interest and you may want to read about it.

With Joel, I think about my real life and how he is impacting my decisions, ideas, insecurities, doubts, fears, passion-his intent is to empower you to think about the real life you live and how you can change.  Have faith in yourself and him!

I Don't Have Time to Watch Him

Well, we all prioritize our religion in different ways and everyone has their own lifestyle. What is great about Joel is you can watch him anywhere. You can listen to him in the car, watch him at the gym(I enjoy this the most), watch him on TV, or watch a message while waiting for your laundry to finish. There is always that pocket of time that can be designated into something positive. His messages are usually 28-34 minutes, which is a lunch break, a gym time, breakfast, before going to sleep, during commericials on TV, while you are on facebook, twitter, instagram or browsing the web- FIND YOUR POCKET OF TIME. PCR

If it's not to watch Joel, find that pocket of time to dedicate yourself to something that you are passionate about and makes you shine PCR

Going forward you may see some references to Joel Osteen as he does have a positive influence on my spirit. I have all my own theories, ideas, and beliefs, but he does confirm many of them and provides a cleaner path for me and those around me.

A Vocal Confirmation!

Being a member of  Speaker Match www.speakermatch.com,, which is a website that allows you to post a profile and apply for speaking positions around the country. It's quite useful, but at somewhat of an Advanced level for those who have dedicated their lives to professional speaking. As the staff member said, "It's competitive and something like trying to get an acting job."

As for myself, I am just getting started on my speaking career and making contacts with companies, groups, churches, etc. to gain exposure. There are many moments where I am trying to confirm I'm in the right direction. I connect with speakers, authors, publishers, therapists, and various professionals. It is a goal to learn from the experience of others and I appreciate the feedback they give, which most encourages to stay on the writing and then opportunity will come with publication. In my heart and with my experience, I feel I am ready to get started now with speaking engagements while writing and coaching.

It's confirmed that I want a life outside the box-my own name, my own business, my own schedule, my own clients, and my own flexibility. This is happening in small steps and I'm proud of what I have done thus far. The purpose is there and everything will grow by giving my best, honoring my higher power, working hard, and always learning from those around me.  How can I utilize Speaker Match?

How does this purpose truly take off to make a solid income?
How can we build regular clients?
How can we publish in effective ways?
How can we have flexible opportunities to work and travel?

These questions were addressed and confirmation came my way with Patrick Snow's teleseminar. Sometimes you aren't sure what a seminar will be like, but this was the most informative, helpful one hour of this year. When I saw his website, I thought that he could be slightly arrogant, but it turns out that he was just marketing himself in the best way possible.  www.patricksnow.com.

It is always such a honor to learn from inspirational speakers who have taken on a career direction that is my own goal.
He confirmed that we learn from experience
He confirmed that we all have a purpose
He confirmed that we have to create our own success
He confirmed that 5 years is too long for publishing make it happen in 3-6 months GOAL
He confirmed that a Book is the platform to start public speaking
He confirmed rejections are good as it indicates you are applying and trying
He confirmed coaching is great at a fair price with the client

"When I Speak Business Happens"-Patrick Snow-

To reinforce the "Tune Into Confirmations, " it felt like this man was speaking directly to me, but of course it was a live audience. His enthusiasm, determination, passion, Christian beliefs, and his ability to be human made me build a true connection. Real Humans connect with real humans and they speak their success and they speak their flaws and things they can do better. It was great hearing him talk about spending 5 years and $20,000 writing and publishing his book. It was a learning experience and the next book, he did things a faster and more efficient way.

With his personality, human qualities, and level of skills-it is clear why he is attracting many clients. He has gained exposures through all kinds of conferences, events, lectures and his speeches are delivered all over the world. He is a Publishing Coach assisting those on the book publishing process. It's not about labels for him rather it's about what he wants to do for others.

From my connection, this man truly cares about others and their success on a spiritual level and professional. When the experience is made human, success comes forward. He reminded me a lot of myself and who I want to become in the next five years.  It's people like this who BELIEVE IN THEIR PURPOSE-they are the ones to listen to, learn from, and gain knowledge. He encourages people to make your own investment when necessary  and watch it multiply. It will with God's hand resting right on top. Our purpose works from bottom to up. Some people may be fortunate to have their purpose fall on their lap, but most have to work for it from the Bottom to the Top . It is a process that is just like child building blocks stacking up upon one another. Those who are thinking, functioning, living, or breathing outside the box. They may never understand what it's like and why a person goes through the fight rather than just sending a resume in to work as an Accountant.

Patrick is a great example of what happens when you FOLLOW THROUGH YOUR PURPOSE AKA PRISCILLA'S BELIEVE IN YOUR PURPOSE.  This man is living truth that it is possible to "Create Your Own Destiny." You don't have to live off  what society is telling you and while safety and comfort are great-they can't compare to the person who took the risk and made sacrifices.

TAKE THE RISK, MAKE YOUR MARK , YOUR FUTURE IS WORTH IT! -PCR-

Tune Into Confirmations

Sometimes in life we question ourselves as to what we are really doing in our life. We compare our success to others. We think more about what we aren't doing rather than what we ARE doing.

On those days we question ourselves, something spiritual above us confirms that we are in the right place doing the right thing. The thing about confirmations is that they may be difficult to detect, but with practice it becomes easier. Often that spiritual frame of mind connects with the moment and what is occurring or maybe a realization will come later on in the week, the month, or at another intended time. We can connect the confirmations just like connecting the dots with a bit of insight and awareness into our own behavior.  These dots lead to same point - purpose.

When one, Priscilla as an example, is in a "Self-growth" phase- a higher sense of doubt may settle with questioning and  distraction by perception of others . For someone in this same position , we might feel like the one at the start line stretching her muscles out and double lacing her shoes while someone else has run around the track a few times. Why is this person ahead when I have done so much and I'm still stretching it all out?
The answer to this is the quote from my inspiration-Joel Osteen-"

                    We Run Our Own Race!!!!

Everyone starts and ends somewhere, but not everyone is running at their own pace. When a person does feel doubt, they should keep their radar on for confirmations. There are confirmations all around us whether it is from a new person, an article, a radio ad, a church service or interaction with a member-keep the eyes, ears, and heart open and they will come your way...when you least expect it.

While there have been many instances of confirmation with a intuitive connection with people and my spirituality-it is the unexpected ones that are the best. My friend from church, see above, invited me out for a outdoors concert on a beautiful night in Chicago. We met with a couple of his IT co-workers and we were laughing and enjoying ourselves right from beginning. It was great being out with friends as I am always at a event that involves church or a professional aspect of my career, but I came out that night....

What is funny is that he calls himself a "Spiritual Tour guide" and he is wonderful at connecting people with one another and sharing a great positive energy everywhere he goes. Perhaps that attracted people our direction as two women sat down at our table....

These women were drinking and having a good time and kindly started a conversation asking about our nationality, our profession, and started discussing culture. They were speaking about India, the culture, temples, and all kinds of world events. It actually surprised me as I just didn't expect it, but Expect the unexpected.  I would think that excessive talking was due to drinking, but I saw true curiosity in their eyes. When I spoke about my career, travels, mission, and passions-these women were completely supportive. I had a deeper connection with one who was truly wanted to learn about my experiences and share her own story.

They provided more support than most of my family and friends.  "You're doing fantastic things your family must be proud." "You are on the right track, keep it up." And the one lady was a fan of Joel Osteen and said, "As long as your doing God's work, you will always be taken care of. Don't ever forget how special you are." This is not where I sit and think, "Thanks I know that." This hit home for me and truly touched my heart because you could see in her eyes, spirit, and presence that she meant it. They were not making me feel good or trying to be nice-they were confirmation.

Now, was this just two ladies saying random stuff with too much alcohol? That would be the common perception, but the timing of it and their exact words, behavior, attitude, and feelings right on point. It's common for people to have interest and listen, but for people to confirm what I am doing-that is a special moment from two human beings.  That day I didn't feel as confident about myself as these guys were talking about work, salary, buying a home, etc.
Following a service and commitment to a higher power "Was I doing something wrong?" Instead of working on one career in one office in one city- I'm stretching with Writing, Speaking, Therapy, and Missionary work. I'm not in one place consistently rather I'm scattered in different places, different cultures, and different continents. Am I suppose to have a salary and be buying a house? Am I behind?

WE are not behind rather we are right where we are suppose to be. If you feel passion and purpose in you heart-don't let it go no matter what people say, do, or feel. We are human and blessed in different departments and unfortunately some people do not tune into confirmation and they are working in a job that has no connection to who they are and their life passion.  When it comes to your position, they may  joke about it, think you're not realistic, say you need to find a real job, you should be responsible, you should act your age, and not confirm what you believe in doing and becoming, but you are right where you need to be. Rest assured stay patient, keep your faith or hope, and work hard.

From a person who has received many confirmations from clients, students, religious figures, missionaries-tune into those confirmations. Confirmations have kept me in my purpose on those days of doubt and questioning. Confirmations come along via a person, place, or event and with your intuition in place-you can feel that moment where something clicked. Someones words, actions, beliefs, thoughts, interests, passions, suggestions, ideas-positively impact your being not just directly, but when you tune in and accept it. It's there.

Believe it. Receive It. and Achieve it. -PCR-
