Now fast forward a couple hours after church when I stopped by Panera cafe to have a coffee. There was a large group of Japanese people having a family gathering. There was a mother and father with their 5 or 6 year old daughter, a few older gentlemen, and a few ladies. They were all sitting around smiling and speaking in Japanese. When they left one another, they bowed towards one another in such a lovely, formal manner. They cleaned up their tables and reorganized the chairs back to perfect position.
There I sat smiling thinking, "Here I come Japan...here I come."
It's been for many years I have had a strong admiration towards the Japanese culture and when I would see Japanese people my heart would fill with pure joy. I know that I wanted to go to Japan, but I wasn't sure when I would go..
When would be the right timing and how would I know?
The Japanese painting I completely forgot I had in my room and the encounter with the Japanese group witnessing their lovely behavior and kindness. Was this a sign?
Yes, I believe it was a sign and it was God giving me the green light.
How do we tune into God's signs?
We open our eyes, our ears, our heart, and our mind to what is surrounding us in nature and our environment. What are we seeing and feeling around us that is giving us a push in a certain direction. It may be evident as day and it might be as dark as night. Some signs are clear and placed right in front of us and others(the ones I find the most beautiful) are those signs you have to have heightened awareness and really tune in to see, hear, or feel.
God wants to communicated with you. He wants you to know he has your back. He's looking out for your best interests. An example, you're not sure if your son should attend a specific Catholic school. You have a great rapport with the school director. You meet a parent at the grocery store whose daughter attends the school. You go to church and the pastor tells you he used to go that school when he was a young child. You have all these great connections with this school. God is giving you the green light for your child to attend this school. It's in your fate and it's meant to be.
Sometimes we don't want to see the signs that God gives us, but we have to have an awareness into what is being presented to us in our lives. We have to know that God is giving us guidance and direction in our lives. He knows what is best for us and wants us to make our best decisions. When you have doubt or have lost hope, God wants to show you the way to take and encourage you to have faith in your decisions. Let God give you the green light and you'll be living your best life.
