January 2015 – February 2015 (2 months) Bali Province, Indonesia
-Research consisting of interviews with numerous locals from various cities and villages
-Content of interview involving sustenance of happiness and factors that positively or negatively influence ie religion, family, community, job, and tourism.
-Some of the happiest people I have ever witnessed are in the province of Bali and it is these simply happy people who can educate us on how to truly be happy
-Content from these interviews will be used in longitudinal study over the course of a few years.
Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa
February 2015 (2 months) Manila, Philippines
Goal: Instill hope and inspiration to staff, patients, and sisters. To educate others on the human potential that is within no matter the physical, mental, or emotional disability. To lead with the beliefs, ethics, and spirit of Mother Teresa by never letting a patient come in my presence without leaving in a happier state. By spoiling patients with smiles and sharing a natural spirit of love. By acknowledging loneliness and providing acknowledgement and engaging in a caring way.

-"The Inspiration Program"-a program to empower patients age 17-65 on their strengths and capabilities including: music therapy, physical therapy, talk therapy, psycho-education, support building, and social skill building
-Program included daily use of inspirational quotes/scripture and inspirational English songs to promote a positive group dynamic and instill happiness and hope into those who are sick
-Visits with kids ages ranging from infancy to 15 years old with Moderate to severe medical illness and physical disabilities-individual sessions of coping with sickness through identification with feelings, needs/wants, and strong religious component to instill belief of hope.
-Weekly visits with prisoners in the Maximum and Minimum security prisons of Manila. Mass performed in church on site at prison and individual visits with prisoners in their living quarters, small businesses in prison, and observing their attitude, thoughts and behaviors.
- Responsibilities: food preparation, feeding, routine tasks requiring assistance
- Religious responsibilities- mass two times or more per day, religious incorporation into all assignment

-Human rights protests for Tibetans living in the region
-Motivational support and encouragement for children and families
-Providing fliers for distribution and setting up events for Tibetan families to attend
Mumbai Street Population

- In Mumbai slums practicing English
- Reported to 5-10 children each day for a 1.5 hour group and activity after
- Working with mothers in culturally competent manner with strong awareness to circumstances on parenting skills and addressing problematic behavior
- Strong rapport established with this population.
Sunshine School

-English language practice with student in classroom age seven to ten
-Enthusiasm in approach to students and consistent individual attention
-Served as assistant to native teacher
-Hours 7-3 followed by sports activity
-Staff English lessons provided additionally to those who were insecure about their language
